FAQ

Roasting Schedule

We roast to order and ship every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. Online orders placed before 8am on those days are usually roasted and shipped the same day via USPS or UPS. Orders placed after 8am (including subscriptions) are scheduled for the following production day.

Please note that our schedule may shift during federal holidays or during the few times each year when our roastery team takes a well-deserved break. When that happens, updates will always be shared on our website homepage banner and through Gracenote social media.

Shipping

We mainly ship via UPS ground for online orders, with USPS Priority being another option. Once an order is processed by our production team, an email will automatically send to the email address provided with an order confirmation and tracking information. Sometimes, packages can be delayed, the reasons for which are typically outside of our control. In the unlikely case where a package has yet to arrive 2+ days after USPS/UPS tracking suggests, please contact us.

Current lead time for USPS/UPS ground is 2-7 days in the continental US. Please keep in mind the delivery window starts when a package has been picked up, not when the order is submitted.

Ground vs. Whole Beans

We ship freshly roasted bags of whole bean coffee. This optimizes quality, freshness, and enhances the overall experience of your daily brew. If you are looking for a coffee grinder, contact us and we will help you find the best one for your needs!

Resting Coffee

Depending on the origin and type of roast (drip, espresso), the rest period for a coffee can be as long as 12 days, and as soon as 6 days after the roast date. Espresso roasts will typically need resting on the longer side of that spectrum. Most of the tasting notes that can be attributed to “too fresh a coffee” peak at day 3, and lessen after day 4. If you consider yourself curious, experiment and see if you can taste the difference in unrested vs. rested coffee!

Roast Style

Our decade-plus of roasting experience allows us to ensure that we get the most of what each unique lot of coffee beans presents. This means a fuller roast profile than is often found in the specialty coffee world, without sacrificing any of the delicate flavors and nuance such high quality beans have to offer.
