Jaime Morales Pérez is the owner of El Tarro farm, located in Sacchumba, Tectitán, Huehuetenango. Jaime has dedicated the last 14 years to coffee production, starting his agricultural journey by planting the first coffee bushes on his 0.88-hectare farm, situated at an altitude of 1,963 meters above sea level. On his farm, Jaime cultivates Borbón, Catimor, and Caturra coffee varieties.
The farm is named "El Tarro" (The Jar) in reference to a specific plant grown on the plot. Over the years, Jaime has improved his farm by replanting and providing shade to optimize growing conditions. With the help of his family, Jaime has honed his agricultural techniques and developed a deep appreciation for coffee farming.
